Legacy Piece Haki — All Three Types, V2 and How to Unlock
Haki is the system players ask about most after codes, and it is one of the few where the official board writes out the mechanics rather than posting a screenshot. Each type is quoted below as published.

Haki — Armament (Busoshoku)
- Unlock at NPC: 300,000 Money.
- Requires: quests Unlock Armament Haki 1 & 2.
- Hardens strikes; foundation for Armament V2.
Haki — Observation (Kenbunshoku)
- Unlock at NPC: 1,000,000 Money.
- Requires: quests Unlock Observation Haki 1 & 2.
- Lets you sense/dodge attacks.
Haki — Conqueror (Haoshoku)
- Unlock at NPC: 5,000,000 Money.
- Requires: quests Conqueror Trial 1–4.
- Dominating presence.
Haki — Armament V2 (Busoshoku V2)
- Unlock at NPC: 10,000,000 Money.
- Requires: Armament Haki maxed (Stage 8) + quests Awaken Ryou 1 & 2.

Flash Step is the movement tech that sits alongside Haki rather than inside it:
- Unlock at NPC: 100,000 Money. Movement/dash technique.
Why your Haki is not unlocking
Three things gate it, and only one of them is obvious. Rank is the hard requirement — ranks run F → D → C → B → A → S → SS and rise with player level. Money is the soft one. And several Haki steps also want a quest completed first, which does not appear in the unlock dialogue — if the NPC refuses you at the right rank with the money in hand, an unfinished quest is usually why.
Is Observation Haki worth it?
One quest specifically asks you to dodge 300 attacks using Observation Haki, so you will end up with it regardless. Beyond that it is the PvP pick: dodging is what the bounty ladder rewards, and the bounty auras are the visible payoff. For PvE, Armament and its V2 upgrade do more for boss clear times.
